Where are Ørsted's Barrow operations?

Ørsted's December 2025 West Coast review includes Barrow, Walney, Walney Extension and West of Duddon Sands in its Irish Sea portfolio, and records taking over Barrow operations and maintenance in January 2020. Ask your employer for your actual reporting base, entrance and any transfer instructions before planning the journey.

How far are your rooms from the port and Walney?

Check the route from the particular room to the reporting point confirmed by your employer, at both your shift start and finish times. Include parking and the final walk, or any onward transport your employer requires. A Barrow or Dalton town-wide estimate does not establish your complete commute.

Can I rent for a rotation rather than full time?

We let on a periodic tenancy with two months' notice, and we'd rather have a good tenant on rotation than an empty room. Tell us your pattern.

Is Centrica still at Barrow?

Spirit Energy's June 2026 announcement calls it a Centrica business and describes Morecambe Net Zero carbon-storage planning. Confirm your own employer, assignment and reporting location; the announcement is not a work-start schedule.
